It might seem like a wise idea, but washing your pillow will only cause it to lose its fluff and elegance faster. Washing the pillow also changes its shape, the way that it feels and the comfort that you will feel. Natural –filled pillows also pose another danger –they can mold or mildew if they become wet.
So, if you happen to wash it the don’t forget to do it carefully, following all steps for precautions that has been suggested by the manufacturer.
2.     Use a Pillow Cover
Pillow covers allow you to add extra style to your sleeping area while protecting your pillow and keeping it vivacious much longer. Pillow covers keep unwanted dirt, sweat, etc. from reaching your pillow, and they’re easy to remove to wash! The covers also repel moisture, keep the pillow fresher and help it to maintain its shape.
Always use a quality pillow cover in order to keep you pillow safe from any possible spills or hazards.
3.     Rotate & Flip
Rotating and flipping your pillow will prolong its life since wear will be even among all sides of the pillow rather than simply in one spot, which will happen if the pillow is not rotated on a regular basis. At least one every week, switch sides that you sleep on, turn the pillow upside down, etc.
4.     Fluff your Pillow
Fluffing your pillow was so much fun when you were a child. Now it is mandatory if you want your pillows to keep their shape and longevity for a longer time period. You might even want to let your little ones in on this fun!
